Welcome To Hampton College

Hampton College opened in 2005 and has grown steadily each year since then. The school has enjoyed significant success in recent years, both in terms of recognition from OFSTED (three full inspections all Good or Outstanding) and in our public examination results.  This year we posted our best ever GCSE results : in 2014 75% of our Year 11 students gained five or more A*-C passes, including Mathematics and English.  This success means that for the fifth year in a row, we have been one of the top performing schools at GCSE in the East of England and have maintained our membership of the prestigious Leading Edge group (an alliance of England’s top performing state schools).

Academy Status and All-through education

On 1 September 2014 Hampton College became an academy.  The school is now run by our own educational trust: the Hampton Academies Trust.  We are what is termed a ‘converter academy’, which means that as a successful school, we have been approved by the Department for Education to form our own trust and to run our own affairs.  When we converted to academy status, we chose to form a multi-academy trust, which enables us to add other schools to the trust in the future, should we wish to.

We are also one of a small number of state schools that are ‘all through’ schools.  In September 2013 we opened our purpose built Primary Phase accommodation on Clayburn Road, adding to our existing modern secondary campus on Eagle Way. We are now growing into a centre of excellence in teaching and learning for children and young people aged 4-19.

Hampton ethos

The mission of Hampton College can be summed up in two words from our Vision and Values document: People and Learning. We have been fortunate to be able to recruit outstanding teachers and excellent support staff, who work together to offer the students a stimulating learning experience in lessons, within a caring setting.  As we look to the future, Hampton College is well placed to go from strength to strength and for our students to grow into successful and responsible citizens.

    • University Information Evening – Wednesday 8 July 2015

      A University Information Evening is being held at Hampton College on Wednesday 8 July 2015.  The evening event is being held for anyone whose child is currently in Year 12 and is thinking of applying to university.  
    • Year 11 Celebration Ball

      We are offering the opportunity for Year 11 students to celebrate their academic experiences by attending their very own ‘Celebration Ball’ on Thursday 2 July 2015 at The Holiday Inn, Thorpe Wood, Peterborough, at a cost of £31.00 per student.  This pays for the room hire, disco and a three course sit down meal (with a vegetarian option).  Please note that there are no drinks included and students will need to purchase their own soft drinks throughout the evening.  We will arrange for water to be available with the meal.

    • Royal Horticultural Society

      Hampton College has been awarded the Level 1 Award  in the Royal Horticultural Society Campaign for School Gardening and we are well on our way to achieving level 2.

      Work Shadowing for Year 10 students: 13 to 16 July

      Each year our Year 10 students have the opportunity to take part in some work shadowing as part of the enrichment activities we arrange at the end of the summer term.
