Welcome To Hampton College

hpWelcome to the Hampton College website; I hope it will show you why we are so proud of our school.

Hampton College opened in 2005 and has grown steadily each year since then.  The school has enjoyed significant success in recent years, both in terms of recognition from OFSTED (Outstanding in 2007 and 2010) and in our public examination results.

We are now well into an era of new development and change at the college. This year we became one of a very small number of state schools who are ‘all through’ schools.   Our very first Reception students started in September and we look forward to September 2013 when Reception and Year One children will be housed in purposed built Primary Phase accommodation on Clayburn Road. We aim to grow to be a centre of excellence in teaching and learning for children and young people aged 4-19.

We are delighted to have moved recently into one of the new blocks on the secondary site and to have opened our purpose built sixth form study centre.  Additional new facilities still under construction include: a gymnasium and dance studio; additional science laboratories; design technology facilities and new classrooms.

I feel privileged to be Headteacher at a time when we have so much to look forward to and so many positive achievements to build upon: my predecessor, Peter Hains, left us a rich legacy in terms of school ethos and educational attainment.  Our vision is to maintain the founding values of the college, which have served us so well, whilst moving the school forward and meeting the needs of a growing student body.

The mission of Hampton College can be summed up in two words from our Vision and Values document: People and Learning. We have been fortunate to be able to recruit outstanding teachers and excellent support staff, who work together to offer the students a stimulating learning experience in lessons, within a caring setting.  As we look to the future, Hampton College is well placed to go from strength to strength and for our students to grow into successful and responsible citizens.

I hope that this website will provide you with the information you are looking for.  Please feel welcome to contact us, should you require further assistance.
