The Sutton Trust

We are really pleased that five Year 12 pupils have decided to apply for Sutton Trust summer schools. The Sutton Trust is a charitable organisation that aims to encourage pupils whose family have no experience of going to university or higher education to consider applying for university. The summer schools are run at a variety of universities and are designed to give pupils an idea of what studying and living at university could be like. Lots of subjects are offered such various sciences, Engineering, Law, Anthropology, English, History. To apply the pupils must have achieved at least 5 A* or A grades at GCSE. Our pupils have applied for Medicine, Geography, Computer Sciences and Anglo-Saxon, Norse and Celtic. We hope they are successful and get to take part in this fantastic opportunity. Year 11, just think this time next year you could be the ones applying! We will let you know if our pupils’ applications are successful.
